Sign Language & Spiders!

Learning how to communicate with our family, friends, and loved ones is always important here at the Goddard School. That's why our Shorewood preschool teachers are dedicated to helping our students challenge themselves each and every day. By increasing their social and cultural awareness, it encourages our Goddard Family to become life-long learners in Shorewood and Plainfield!

On March 12th, we'll learn all about spiders and why they are important to our local ecosystem. Afterwards, our educators will be instructing our students in Sign Language! Countless Americans struggle with hearing-related disorders, so The Goddard School thinks that this presents a valuable teaching moment for our Shorewood Preschool . The hearing-impaired use Sign Language to communicate, so our students will be getting some first-hand experience by learning the “sign” for the word “spider.”

Stop by to check out all the fun! And stay tuned to your local Goddard School's Patch blog for photos and regular updates on all the happenings at our Shorewood preschool!
