Small Caliber Ammunition Found at Plainfield Central
A search of students and lockers was conducted, but nothing else was found.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Small caliber ammunition was found at Plainfield Central High School Friday.
District 202 Director of Community Relations Tom Hernandez said the ammunition was found inside the building. The school was not placed on lockdown and at no time were students and staff in danger, he said.
A search of students and lockers was conducted, but nothing else was found, according to Hernandez.

Plainfield Police Sgt. Mike Fisher said he was unsure where in the school the ammunition was located.
No one is in custody at this time and police are still investigating, Fisher said.
