Special Plainfield Village Board Meeting Set for Monday

A planned Village of Plainfield Committee of the Whole meeting set for Monday has been cancelled, but a special meeting is now slated for 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 14401 W. Lockport St.

The agenda calls a vote on new appointments to the building board of appeals, as well as an intergovernmental agreement between Plainfield and the Will County 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System board for the funding of a 911 surcharge reallocation.

Also on the agenda:

• A vote on spending $9,989.75 to purchase 125 pieces of crowd barricades for village events
• $6,740 for the emergency repair of a water service line near 15410 S. Sunshine Circle
