Spectrum Youth Singers Prepare For Concert With Songs Of Peace, Hope

Happening a day after Veteran's Day, the concert will also feature songs tied to the holiday honoring veterans as well as patriotic music.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield-based choir for youth will perform a concert Nov. 12 featuring songs of hope and peace.

Spectrum Youth Singers will put on its fall concert beginning at 2 p.m. at Plainfield Congregational United Church of Christ, 24020 W. Fraser Road. Happening a day after Veteran's Day, the show will also feature songs for the holiday and patriotic music.

The community group aims to enrich "the lives of young people through choral music." Spectrum Youth Singers is the youth division of the nonprofit Plainfield Area Community Chorus.

Tickets to the concert, which will be available at the door, cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Two days after the fall concert, the choir will host a free rehearsal for mid-season enrollments. Children who love to sing and are in grades 6-12 are invited to attend the event, happening from 6:45-8 p.m. at Eagle Pointe Elementary School, 24562 Norwood Drive. Signs-ups are open on the choir's website.
