Spooktacular Returns To Downtown Plainfield This Saturday

PLAINFIELD, IL — Young ghosts and goblins are invited to the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce's annual "Spooktacular" in downtown Plainfield from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. The freaky fun starts with trick-or-treating at participating businesses. The event also offers hayrack rides, a petting zoo, free pumpkins and more.

• Trick-or-treating at participating businesses
• Craft at the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St.
• Free pumpkins, decorating kits, popcorn, raffle & photo booth at Century 21, 15105 S. James St.
• Haunted word game at participating businesses
• Costume contest at Barvian Realty, 24252 W. Main St.

Plus:

• 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Balloon Guy at the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 24109 W. Lockport St.
• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Trunk or Treat at the YMCA, 15120 Wallin Dr.
• 12:30 pm to 3:30 p.m. Hayrack rides, petting zoo and bounce house at the YMCA
• 1 to 2:30 p.m.: Haunted House at the YMCA
