Spring Musical Season Underway At D202
Plainfield's four high schools will present four classic musicals in March and April. Tickets available now.

Spring musical season is underway at Dist. 202, as all four Plainfield high schools hit the boards performing four great shows in March and April.
Tickets for shows at PHSCC, PSHS and PEHS are $7 for adults and $5 students, staff and seniors. See the information below for PNHS ticket information. Please call each school’s main office or visit the school’s web site for more ticket information.

Here are this year’s shows, in chronological order:
Plainfield North High School presents “The Music Man” at 7:30 p.m. March 13 and 14, 2015; and at 2:30 p.m. March 15, 2015.

This American classic follows fast talking Professor Hill as he persuades the citizens of River City that a marching band, uniforms and all, will keep their sons out of the pool hall and trouble. “The Music Man” includes some of the most memorable Broadway tunes ever written.
Along the way, Professor Hill finds himself smitten with the local librarian and not sure he’ll make the last train out of town this time.
Also, help PNHS Theatre by buying VIP tickets which include reserved seating, pre-show appetizers, and more. VIP tickets are: $16 for adults; $14 for staff, senior citizens, and students.
Regular tickets are $8 for adults; and $6 for students and senior citizens.

Plainfield East High School presents the Cole Porter classic “Anything Goes” at 7 p.m. March 19-21, 2015; and2 p.m. March 22, 2015.
“Anything Goes” is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, which is carrying nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney from New York to England.
Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt. However, Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, leading to a hilarious love triangle with multiple characters, disguises, tap dancing sailors and good, old-fashioned blackmail.
The show features amazing tap numbers, campy jokes, unlikely happy endings and eminently hummable songs like “De-Lovely,” “I Get a Kick Out Of You” and “Anything Goes,” courtesy of the unforgettable score by Cole Porter.
PEHS is located at 12001 S. Naperville Road, Plainfield.
Plainfield South High School presents “The Secret Garden” at 7 p.m. March 20 and 21, 2015; and 2 p.m. March 22, 2015.
“The Secret Garden” is based on the 1911 book of the same name. The story, set in the early years of the 20th century follows the journey of Mary Lennox. She is sent to England to live with relatives she has never met after being orphaned by a cholera outbreak.
Her own personality blossoms as she and a young gardener restore a neglected garden, breathing new life into her sickly cousin and uncle.
PSHS is located at 7800 W. Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.
Plainfield High School – Central Campus presents the classic tale of everyone’s favorite nanny, “Mary Poppins.” This “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” musical adventure will be performed at 7 p.m. April 17 and 18, 2015; and at 2 p.m. April 18 and 19, 2015.
“Mary Poppins” tells the story of a magical nanny who not only plays games with the children but also ends up saving the Banks family. The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces the audience to England in 1910 just before Mary Poppins arrives.
Using both magic and common sense, Mary Poppins helps the Bankses learn how to connect with each other and become a real family.
