St. Mary Immaculate To Host 'Blue Mass' Service For First Responders

All police, fire personnel, medics, telecommunicators and support staff are welcome to attend the upcoming ceremony, organizers said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — To show appreciation for first responders, St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield will host a "Blue Mass" June 7. All police, fire personnel, medics, telecommunicators and support staff are invited to attend, organizers said.

Starting at 7 p.m., the church will offer Mass and a special blessing "in appreciation for their work as first responders." The service will take place at the parish, located at 1562 S. Route 59.

For those who can't attend in person but would like to participate, the service will be live-streamed on Facebook as well as on YouTube.
