St. Mary Immaculate Parish School Christmas Band Concert

St Mary Immaculate Parish School excellent Christmas Band Concert.

The St. Mary Immaculate Parish School Cadet and Concert Bands, under the direction of Mrs. Lacey Wehrli, performed their annual Christmas Band Concert on Thursday, December 3rd in the Gym before an enthusiastic audience of parents, family, friends and teachers. The fourth and fifth grade Cadet Band presented A Mozart Melody, Hot Cross Buns, Lightly Row, Good King Wenceslas, Jolly Old St. Nick, and Jingle Bells. This was the first performance for our fourth grade novice musicians who have had their instruments only a few short months. Together with their fifth grade companions they looked and sounded lovely. The sixth through eighth grade Concert Band presented Let The Holidays Begin, Echo Carol, and Holiday Fantasie. The students demonstrated that all their practice paid off as they played beautifully. At the conclusion of the performance, the students presented Mrs. Wehrli with a bouquet of flowers and then everyone enjoyed refreshments. The SMI Band Program is comprised of 59 students in 4th through 8th grade. Student musicians also entertain at other school functions such as Olympic Day, and some members accompany the school choir at weekly School Masses. For more information on the Band Program, please contact Mrs. Lacey Wehrli, Band Director and Music Teacher through the School Office.
