Statue of Liberty Inscription To Be Revised To "Give Me Your White Christians ONLY"

The Cato Institute states its mission as: Promoting an American public policy based on individual liberty, limited government, free market and peaceful international relations.

So, let's just start from they aren't "libtards" or "rethuglicans" or any other derisive slang entity, that they have the intellectual and practical resources to do some math, and go from there.

Cato released their numbers, arrived at through serious and credible study, that answer the questions the president says his bans on refugees and all entry to the US from select countries are in place to assure America's safety until he can get this exact info.

Here are the facts:

Numbers of Americans killed between 1975 and 2015 by citizens of the seven countries which Pres. Trump selected for his ban:

Libya, 0

Iran,0

Iraq, 0

Somalia, 0

Sudan, 0

Syria, 0

Yemen, 0

So, that's ZERO Americans killed from all seven , primarily Muslim, countries over 41 years up through 2015. In this case, zero is a "big" number.

By contrast, the same data is very different from other Muslim countries that also happen to be home to Trump offices, buildings, hotels, etc.:

Egypt, 162

Saudi Arabia, 2,369

United Arab Emirates, 314

So, from primarily Muslim countries where Pres. Trump holds personal financial interests, citizens have killed 2,845 Americans. And, no country that has a Trump business interest made the ban list.

No specific, clear threat rationale was given for how countries were chosen for the ban because, remember, the ban is supposed to be in effect while the president waits for a reason, for others to tell him what I just retyped.

Cato Institute goes on to calculate that over that same 41 year period, the odds of an American being killed on US soil by any foreigner was 1 in 3.6 MILLION per year--and this included the 9/11 terror attacks here.

The odds Cato calculated when they researched the chance of an American being murdered in any attack caused by a REFUGEE of any background, for those 41 years, soar to 1 in 3.64 BILLION, in each year, not cumulatively over 41 years.

So, there is no intelligent basis for the new policy. It is simply Pres. Trump's simplistic fear-mongering playing out further than it had before because he can, and apparently will, kick the ball further than he did before. Thinking bores Donald Trump.

Particularly with the administration carving out a religious exception--Christian refugees will be prioritized, so sounds like our national policy is now that a Christian child's life is worth more than that of a Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, etc. child--this ban will only help to turn out the light in the torch on our Statue of Liberty, and has certainly already dimmed it in the eyes of a world that used to hold the US up as the best, last hope of true liberty and opportunity.

Germany is now having to inform our shockingly uninformed president that as a signatory to the Geneva Convention the US is required to take in refugees and Canada is taking our place as the beacon of hope.

The ban is already reportedly serving as fodder for pro-ISIS propaganda and recruitment of more terrorists.

This ban will do nothing but increase global suffering, and is also having a chaotic effect on business and trade and all types of US immigration and visitation due to how recklessly it was implemented.

And, in the midst of this, the president has taken a further dangerous and unjustifiable course for America by removing the Director of National Intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from regular attendance to White House National Security Council meetings, while making Steve Bannon, a lying alt-right racist, a permanent seat at the table. Again, that's the table that works on our national security, on keeping Americans safe and sound.

These actions by Pres. Trump are going to get more Americans, and many other innocents, including children, killed.
