The Shorewood Lions Club, Troy 30-C W.B. Orenic Intermediate and Troy Middle School students of the month for the month of April 2015 were selected on the basis of consistent effort, productive citizenship, positive attitude, participation in class and advisory team. The students were honored and received their awards during the Troy 30C School Board Meeting on May 20, 2015. The following students were selected:

Orenic Intermediate School sixth graders Jenna Maki, daughter of Ms. Laura Maki, Kenny Van, son of Kevin & Vivian Van, Erin Rowlett, daughter of Peter & Wendy Rowlett, sixth grade accelerated Sydney Kurtyak, daughter of Nicolas & Rebecca Kurtyak, Troy Middle School seventh graders Gisele Perez, daughter of Olga Perez and Francisco Perez, Jordyn Johnson, daughter of Jessie Johnson, Maddison Wascom, daughter of Kristen & Joseph Mackinac, Joana Diaz, daughter of Gabriel & Beatriz Diaz, seventh grade accelerated Kailey Schmitt, daughter of Edward & Lisa Schmitt, eighth graders Thomas Regganie, son of Brian & Bea Regganie, Payten Bormet, daughter of Claudine Bormet and Melvin Bormet, Adela Garza, daughter of Carlos & Blanca Garza, Logan Kosteroski, son of G. In addition to certificates from both sponsors, the students received awards from the following merchants: Sony’s Delite Restaurant, Babes Hot Dogs Restaurant, McDonald’s Restaurant, PizzaforU, Chili’s Restaurant, and Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant.

In addition to the Student of The Month program, the Shorewood Lions Club helps any needy person in Troy Township who has a sight or hearing problem to get glasses, hearing aids and other related equipment including seeing eye dogs.
