Super Bowl Enforcement Period Yields 63 Tickets: Plainfield Police

The campaign began Feb. 10 and lasted until the early morning hours on Feb. 13.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Police increased patrols around Super Bowl Sunday to ensure "more people follow all traffic safety laws." They released the results Thursday.

During the campaign, funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, officers issued a total of 63 tickets, including 43 for speeding, 3 for seat belts and 17 others.

Police also made three traffic-related and two criminal arrests, officials said.
