Therapeutic Barn Needs Help To Feed Horses
Plainfield's Ready Set Ride is recovering from a rough winter, vet bills.

PLAINFIELD, IL -- A therapeutic horse barn in Plainfield is looking for a little help from the community.
The stable, located at 13056 Essington Road between 127th and 135th streets, uses horseback riding services to assist children with special needs and terminal illnesses.
"We are struggling to even provide hay right now, and pay vet bills due to such a rough winter," Ready Set Ride Vice President Lesley Caramusa said. "Each horse eats about one bale a day, as you can see, there's only 3 bales left."

She's asking residents to consider making a donation, no matter how small.
"Five dollars could buy just one more bale of hay, Caramusa said. "It pains me to see our therapeutic barn for special needs individuals struggle so much with money," she said, adding, "(They are) volunteer based so any
money they have goes right to their horses."
