Tom Cross Also Accepting Applications for Plainfield Park Board Candidates

Cross, Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant will each appoint one new member to the Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners.

Thanks to legislation signed this month by Gov. Pat Quinn, State Rep. Tom Cross (R-Oswego) and Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-Shorewood) will each appoint one new member to the Plainfield Park District Board of Commissioners.

The legislation, aimed at creating additional representation and breaking up a former majority on the board after a year plagued by controversies, will expand the board from five to seven members.

Earlier this week, Bertino-Tarrant announced she has formed a committee of four Plainfield residents to review applications and conduct interviews for one of the positions.
