Toys For Tots Donations Accepted At Plainfield Fire Stations

Donated toys should be new, in their original packaging and not gift wrapped.

PLAINFIELD, IL — November is here, which means the holiday season is just about upon everyone. Ahead of it, the Plainfield Fire Protection District is starting to collect new toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

People wanting to donate can drop off new toys at any of the district's four fire stations between 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. daily. Toys should be in their original packaging and not gift wrapped, officials said in a news release Tuesday.

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 5. Once received, the toys will be distributed to children in need in the community.
