Video Shows Lakewood Falls Attempted Car Burglar: Police
Police shared the video with a reminder to residents to lock their car doors.
UNINCORPORATED PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield police shared a homeowner's video of an attempted car burglary in the Lakewood Falls subdivision with a reminder to residents: Lock your car doors.
"It's happening everywhere, so lock your cars please!" police said on Facebook. "Know the perp? Email Det. Rich Meszaros (at) rmeszaros@plainfieldpd.com."
The video shows a person who appears to be holding a flashlight walking up to the vehicle, trying the door and then walking away when it won't open.
