Where do I start?

Congratulations to all the recent college graduates!  Your hard work, dedication, and sacrifices were worth the effort and now it is time to launch your career.  So, where do you begin?

In addition to creating several variations of your professional resume, you need a search strategy and a personal brand image.  Let's start with an evaluation of your resume.  Check for quality, visual appeal, value-add, and connectivity.

Quality: Does your resume have typos, spacing problems, and grammatical errors?  Do you summarize your education and work history clearly with facts and dates?

Visual Appeal:  Is the design clean and simple?  Does the layout and use of sub-headings guide the reader?  Is it digitally friendly?

Value-add: Do you demonstrate value by using outcome based statements rather than a list of tasks or responsibilities?
