Woman Fires Gun At Ex After He Throws Bricks Through Window: Plainfield Police
The woman fired the gun, fearing for her safety during a domestic disturbance, Plainfield police said.
PLAINFIELD, IL — A woman fired a gun in the direction of her ex-boyfriend after he threw bricks through the windows of her residence Tuesday morning in the Wilding Pointe subdivision, Plainfield police said.
Officers were called at 10:53 a.m. to the 24700 block of West Rushford Place for the report of a domestic disturbance. A severe storm hit Plainfield around that time.
The woman said her ex-boyfriend caused extensive damage to the property with the bricks, Cmdr. Anthony Novak told Patch.

The woman "feared for her safety, retrieved a firearm and discharged it in the direction of her ex-boyfriend," Novak said.
The man fled in a car shortly after. Police attempted to locate but were unsuccessful, Novak said.

The incident remains under investigation.
