Integrity, Transparency and Accountability are the cornerstones to Mark Allan Chmura’s message. Chmura continues; “I have committed 30 years to serving the public in my professional line of work. I entered this race so I can serve the community in a greater capacity”. Chmura believes that utilizing his leadership skills and experience, he will bring a close to old issues, forward progress on stagnant and lingering issues, and prepare a long term outlook for Plainfield. “All these can be accomplished. The residents, by using their voices at Village Hall, can build a community that is whole, and not fractioned as it is today.” Says Chmura.
Chmura, 54, lives in the Champion Creek subdivision in north Plainfield with his wife Anissa. Mark is employed as a Captain/Shift Commander for the Naperville Fire Department, and has earned Bachelor’s degrees from both Western Illinois University and Benedictine University. In addition to serving the community in his profession, he is the Vice President of his homeowners association, been elected to the Executive Board for the Community Associations Institute (CAI), and selected as a member of the CAI Illinois Legislative Action Committee.
