TAIZE Prayer Service in Quad Cities at Benet House Retreat Center

Quad Cities TAIZE Prayer Service the 3rd Thursday of each month at Benet House Retreat Center at St Mary Monastery.
A Rhythm of Peace and Simplicity - Space for Reflection and Calm

Enter a sacred rhythm of peace and simplicity at Benet House Retreat Center Quad Cities Taizé Prayer Services. These meditative evenings are marked by gentle chants, short readings and extended moments of silence.

Taizé prayer is a gift for anyone seeking to slow down, quiet their heart and listen for the Spirit's voice. The simplicity of the service allows space for personal reflection, while the repetition of chants creates a prayerful atmosphere of deep calm. Whether you are drawn to Taizé for the first time or return often to its quiet beauty, these evenings provide a meaningful way to rest in God’s presence.

Taizé prayer is a form of worship originating in an ecumenical community of Christian monks in Taizé, France. For many years, tens of thousands of pilgrims, especially young people, have joined the monks for their Taizé prayer services.
