6 Men Charged With Sex Solicitation In Undercover Police Sting

The men are being held in Winnebago County Jail.

ROCKFORD, IL — The Rockford Police Department said District 2 officers and Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement (SCOPE) officers arrested and charged six men Wednesday on the city's southeast side as the result of an undercover operation targeting people trying to purchase sex. These people, referred to as "Johns" were targeted as part of the department's "end demand" approach to combating street-level commercial sex trade, Rockford police said.

According to Rockford police, the following men are being lodged in the Winnebago County Jail, all charged with solicitation of a sex act:

  • James Gray, 69, Amboy
  • Joseph Guerin, 32, Rockford
  • Francis Healy, 79, Rockford
  • Don Lyons, 61, Rockford
  • Chuyen Nguyen, 58, Rockford
