Child Shot In Foot In Rockford On Fourth Of July

ROCKFORD, IL — Rockford police are investigating after a child was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries from being shot in the foot on the Fourth of July. Rockford Register Star reported that according to police reports, officers were sent to the 600 block of 10th Street just before 11 p.m. after the child was shot.

The child, whose name and gender haven't been released, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
