IL Teen Sexually Assaulted Child, Made Child Pornography: Police

ROCKFORD, IL — A Rockford teen is charged with sexually assaulting a child and making child pornography, according to police.
Jasper Albin-Chavez, 19, faces charges of criminal sexual assault of a child, production of child sexual abuse materials, dissemination of child sexual abuse materials and possession of child sexual abuse materials, all Class X felonies, police announced Friday.
State police received a tip in late 2025 from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that prompted an investigation and resulted in the execution of a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 1000 block of Linda Avenue, according to police.

“An extensive investigation revealed Albin-Chavez was disseminating, producing, and in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials, in addition to assaulting a child,” Illinois State Police said in a news release Friday.
Albin-Chavez was arrested and held at the Winnebago County Jail, according to police.
