Dismissal at Lewis Lemon Elementary School will continue as scheduled with some modification:

  • Students who ride the bus will be dismissed at 2 p.m.
  • Students who walk home from school toward the northwest – toward Jefferson Street and Albert Avenue – will remain at school until a parent or guardian is able to pick them up. Parents or guardians picking up a student must present a photo ID and be listed as an emergency contact.
  • Regularly scheduled after-school activities at Lewis Lemon will continue.

Please continue to avoid the area around Lewis Lemon Elementary School because of police activity nearby. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
