Pizza Delivery Driver Victim Of Armed Robbery: Rockford Police

Rockford Police Department officials reported the victim gave the suspects cash and pizzas.

ROCKFORD, IL — Rockford Police Department officials said officers met with a pizza delivery driver at 10:30 p.m. Sunday who reported being robbed in the 2000 block of South 5th Street. According to police, the victim was walking to the door of a delivery address when three male suspects approached him. Rockford police reported one suspect had a handgun and demanded the victim's money, to which the delivery driver handed over cash and three pizzas.

Police said the man wasn't hurt by the suspects, who are described as three black men in their mid-20s.

  • The suspect armed with the handgun is about 6'0,' 180 pounds, wearing a black hat and a black or gray jacket.
  • The second suspect is 5’9', about 160 pounds with short black hair, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.
  • The third suspect is about 5’9', 150 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and jeans.
