Rockford Man Arrested, Charged In Drug Investigation

Tyrice L. Morgan, 23, has been charged with several counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance in drug investigation.

ROCKFORD, IL — A Rockford man was arrested Tuesday as the result of a two-month investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit. Tyrice L. Morgan, 23, of Rockford, was arrested by police for possessing heroin, crack cocaine and U.S. currency, mystateline.com reported.

He was charged with two counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, one count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 500 feet of a park, and is being kept at the Boone County Jail on a $500,000 bond, the news report said.

This is not the first arrest for Morgan, who police say was arrested in Rockford in 2016 when he ran from officers during a traffic stop while in possession of a gun and crack cocaine.
