Rockford Man Hospitalized After Car Stolen At Gunpoint

A Rockford man was taken to the hospital after police say his car was stolen at gunpoint.

ROCKFORD, IL — Police are investigating after a Rockford man's car was stolen during an armed robbery Tuesday night in the 300 block of Hilton Avenue. According to WIFR, police say the 28-year-old victim was driving a gray 2006 Dodge Charger with a 26-year-old woman when they were approached by a 30-year-old black man and 27-year-old black female just before 9 p.m.

Both suspects were armed with guns, as police say the man driving the car was beaten and the two suspects stole the car at gunpoint, WIFR says. The news report adds that the car was last seen heading southbound.

The victim was treated at a local hospital.
