Rockford Man Wanted In Domestic Battery Case

Rockford Police Department officials say they've obtained a warrant for the arrest of Jamie Rogers, 42, following a June 19 incident.

ROCKFORD, IL — The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 42-year-old Jamie Rogers, who they say is a suspect wanted on domestic battery charges following a June 19 incident at a home in the 1000 block of North Central Avenue. RPD officials have a warrant for Rogers' arrest, saying he left the scene before officers arrived to the home that evening.

Police say patrol officers investigated a report of battery when they were called to the home just before 7 p.m., adding that upon arrival officers learned an adult female victim had been battered by the suspect, which is the man she previously lived with as the two were in a relationship.

RPD said detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident, which was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, RPD said charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Domestic Battery were authorized and a warrant was obtained for Rogers.
