Toddlers Home Alone As Mom, Boyfriend & Ex Missing: Rockford PD
Foul play is suspected after a previous domestic battery report. Two girls, ages 2 and 11 months, were found alone at the woman's home.

ROCKFORD, IL — A 22-year-old mother of two, her estranged husband and her boyfriend have all been reported missing and endangered after Rockford police found the woman's two daughters, ages 2 and 11 months, home alone. On Tuesday, Rockford police said they responded to Danielle Son's home in the 800 block of 10th Avenue at around 10 a.m. Monday to investigate a missing person report.
Family members told police they had not heard from the woman since Saturday, Feb. 17. Police who arrived at Danielle Son's home found the toddlers alone but unharmed.
Further investigation revealed that Danielle Son's boyfriend, 25-year-old Sergio Quiroz, and estranged husband, 26-year-old Hand Son, were also missing.

Danielle Son filed for divorce from her husband on Feb. 7, just 10 days before her family last heard from her, the Rockford Register Star reported. Less than a month earlier, on Jan. 14, she called police to file a domestic violence report against Hand Son, saying he had pushed her at her 10th Avenue home. She also accused him of taking keys out of her purse and grabbing her by her arms and wrists. A police officer reported seeing red marks where Danielle Son said she'd been grabbed.
A Rockford police report said the couple had been arguing since Jan. 13, and the fight spilled over into the next day. The Register Star reported that Hand Son told police he believed his wife was cheating on him and lying about it "so he told her he would take his car and leave the area." That same vehicle, the Toyota Scion, is now also missing.
Hand Son also accused his estranged wife of violence, telling police that when he said he was leaving, she "smacked him in the face," but he was not injured, according to the paper.
A no-contact order was issued barring Hand Son from contacting his wife.
A Facebook post by a man claiming to be Danielle Son's brother said two dogs, a German shepherd mix and a black and white pit bull, are also missing from his sister's home. The post refers to Hand Son as the "main suspect," saying it's unknown whether his sister and Quiroz are dead or alive.
A neighbor told WIFR in Rockford that Danielle Son lived with Quiroz at the 10th Avenue home.
The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Danielle Son, Hand Son and Sergio Quiroz. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department non-emergency number (815) 966-2900 or the Investigations Bureau (779) 500-6551.
