Winnebago Co. Deputy, K9 Rescue Suicidal Teen In Forest Preserve
Deputy Metzler and K9 Cliff located juvenile a mile into the forest preserve, sheriff's officials reported.

ROCKTON, IL — Winnebago County Sheriff's Office officials said deputies were called to the 14000 block of South Bluff Road Friday morning for 16-year-old teen reported to be suicidal, who was last seen walking in the area. Sheriff's officials said Deputy Metzler and K9 Cliff (both pictured) responded to the call in which Cliff found a track leading them into the Norman Jensen Forest Preserve.
Sheriff's officials said Deputy Metzler and Cliff found the teen a mile out, suffering from minor self-inflicted wounds.
The juvenile was taken to get medical treatment after Rockton Fire Department crews administered first aid.
