13 Year Old Caught Driving Vehicle: Romeoville Blotter
Arrests occurred between April 18 and April 25.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
April 18
Numerous burglaries to motor vehicles were reported in the 1400 block of West Normantown Road. Someone entered parked vehicles and took cell phone chargers, a toolbox, tools and jumper box. Total estimated value of the items is $685.
April 19
Shannon McKinney, 43, of the 900 block of Harvard Ct. in Romeoville, was charged with battery and theft over $500. The arrest occurred in the 900 block of Harvard Ct.
April 20
A criminal damage to property was reported in the 300 block of Emery. Someone broke four windows of a vehicle that was parked on the street. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $800.
April 21
Benjamin Saldivar, 19, of Bartlett, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber.
April 22
A residential burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Belmont. Someone kicked in a door to gain entry to the property. It appears that nothing was taken from the home.
A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Garland. Someone entered a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. The glove compartment was opened, but nothing was taken.
April 23
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.
Alexandria Cummings, 34, of the 1100 block of Geneva St. in Shorewood, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of S. Weber.
Jennifer Tait, 33, of the 900 block of Robin Hill Dr. in Shorewood, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber.
A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested for no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The arrest occurred in the 1800 block of Brookstone Ct.
April 25
A residential burglary was reported in the 1100 block of North Independence. Someone entered the unlocked residence and approximately $10,500 in jewelry and $500 in change.
