$16K Nissan Altima Stolen from Residence: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents occurred between Feb. 15 and March 1.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.


Feb. 15

A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with no valid driver’s license in the 200 block of Summerfield.

Misael Funes, 21, of the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. in Bolingbrook, was charged with no valid driver’s license and obstructing identification. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Hudson.

Feb. 17

A retail theft was reported in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road. Someone took an estimated value of $1,315 in various products from the business.

Feb. 18

Santino Sanzeri, 19, of the 300 block of Hayes, was charged with fleeing and eluding, driving while license restricted, no insurance, speeding, disobeying a stop sign, disobeying a traffic control device and obstructing an officer. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Hayes.

Roberto Mascote, 20, of the 900 block of Neufairfield in Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence, no insurance, driver’s license not on person and possession of drug equipment. The incident occurred in the area of Route 53 and Normantown.

Feb. 19

A retail theft was reported in the 600 block of South Weber Road. Someone took a bottle of liquor with a value of $7.99 from the business.

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Murphy. Someone threw an egg at a vehicle and punctured one of the tires. A quarter panel of the vehicle was also dented.

Feb. 20

A theft under $500 was reported in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road. Someone took a bicycle valued at $40 from the side of the business.

Feb. 21

Jose Velasco-Sanchez, 42, of the 20800 block of W. Ardmore Cir. in Plainfield, was charged with reckless driving. The incident occurred in the area of Romeo Road and Frieh.

Branden Leach, 20, of the 0-100 block of Kempton, was charged with impersonating a police officer and retail theft. The incident occurred in the 600 block of North Weber Rd.

Feb. 22

Carl Millraney, 27, of the 800 block of McCarthy Rd. in Lemont, was charged with driving under the influence, driver’s license not on person and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Fremont.

Shannon Fitzgerald, 26, of the 800 McCarthy in Lemont, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while license suspended. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Fremont.

Feb. 23

Kenneth Jepsen, 53, of the 2900 block of Vimy Ridge in Joliet, was charged with battery. The incident occurred in the area of Weber and Lakeview.

Feb. 24

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 200 block of Hayes. Someone damaged the windshield and side mirror of a vehicle that was parked in the street. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $700.

Feb. 26

A retail theft was reported in the 300 block of North Independence. An unknown person took a bottle of liquor valued at $22 from the business.

Feb. 27

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 100 block of Foxglove Ct. Someone broke a front window of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $150.

Feb. 29

Bernard Lopez, 24, of the 100 block of Farmside Ln. in Bolingbrook, was charged with battery. The incident occurred in the 700 block of North Independence.

Eric Reitz, 23, of the 700 block of Hudson Ave., was charged with criminal damage to property. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Hudson.

March 1

A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of South Highpoint. Someone took a 2013 Nissan Altima from the parking lot of the residence. The vehicle is valued at $16,700.
