3 Injured in Illinois Corrections Vehicle Crash in Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Three people were injured when an Illinois Department of Corrections transport vehicle collided with another vehicle Friday afternoon in Romeoville.

The crash occurred at 1:45 p.m. along Route 53 near 135th street, according to The Herald-News.

Two offenders that were inside the transport vehicle were taken a local hospital with unknown injuries, according to the report. The driver of the IDOC vehicle received minor injuries. Two other IDOC officers in the vehicle were uninjured.
