4 Bus Routes In Bolingbrook, Romeoville Canceled Due To Staff Shortage

Families were encouraged to find other arrangements as four bus routes that serve several Valley View D365-U schools were canceled Monday.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Four bus routes that serve several Valley View Community School District 365-U schools aren't running Monday due to a staffing shortage, officials said.

The following routes were canceled Monday morning and won't run in the afternoon either:

  • Route 16: Romeoville High School, Lukancic Middle School, Hill Elementary School
  • Route 29: Romeoville High School, Martinez Middle School, Hill Elementary School
  • Route 37: Bolingbrook High School, Addams Middle School, Independence Elementary School
  • Route 66: Bolingbrook High School, Brooks Middle School, Tibbott Elementary School

District officials warned of heightened traffic at schools Monday as families had to find carpool arrangements or bring their kids to school.

"We ask that everyone be patient with arrival lines at schools," officials said in an alert. "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this circumstance and appreciate your patience as we work through the many challenges to keep our schools open."
