JOLIET, IL. – Dust off your pointy hat, jump on your broom, and get ready to fly in the direction of making difference in another woman’s life. Tickets for the 7th annual Witches Night Out are now available at www.witchesnightout.com. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th at the historic Jacob Henry Mansion and Estate, 20 S. Eastern Ave., Joliet.
Witches Night Out is a unique costume fundraiser that has a big following. Last year, the sold out event of more than 1200 witches raised $39,000 for social service agencies serving women and children in the Will County area. The recipient agencies provide services and support to help women secure their independence, regain their dignity, and become self-sufficient. The 2016 recipient agencies are Lamb’s Fold Women’s Center, Stepping Stones Treatment and Recovery Center, Guardian Angel Community Services, and Companions Journeying together – Aunt Mary’s Storybook Hour.

“Because Witches Night Out is a fundraiser for many who otherwise would not be able to donate for a cause, it has become popular as a girls’ night out,” said Kathy Mihelich, co-chair of the event. “The theatrics are awe-inspiring and the drama is enchanting which makes it a fairy-tale night of raising money for women who aren’t so fortunate. That’s the magic behind the night.”
