Alleged Robbers Who Tossed Woman from Car Arrested
The woman was beaten and tossed from the vehicle after the alleged robbers stole two iPhones and $180.

Romeoville police have arrested two people in connection with a robbery that left a woman injured.
Reta Shamoun, 18, of the 200 block of Sierra Trail, and Kennedy W. Jordan, 23, of the 1900 block of Cobblestone Drive, were both arrested on a robbery charge.

Romeoville Commander John Ferdinardo told The Herald-News that on Nov. 9 police had received a call about a 21-year-old woman who had been struck by a car in the 400 block of Hamrick Avenue.
“Through investigation we learned she’d been at a party and met a man and two women and they all went for a ride together,” Ferdinardo told the paper. “During the drive, they beat the woman, took two iPhones, some papers and $180 and tossed her out of the car.”

The car reportedly struck the woman in the leg as it was driven away. The woman refused medical treatment for her injuries.
An arrest warrant for a third person has been obtained.
A phone message left with the Romeoville Police Department was not returned.
