The Village of Romeoville’s Finance Department has been honored with their 12th consecutive Excellence in Financial Reporting Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement was in recognition of the Village’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2025. The CAFR was judged to meet the high standards of the program, which included demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“Our Finance Department continues to make transparency a priority and has been recognized for well over a decade now,” said Mayor Noak. “I thank them for their hard work in preparing these reports and invite residents to visit our website to review these award-winning documents.”
