State Rep. Dee Avelar, State Rep. Natalie Manley, and State Sen. Meg Loughran Cappel will host this seminar to educate others on how to detect and stop scamming schemes and hear from the Attorney General’s Office about how they can help, a news release shares.

“As scammers become increasingly advanced in the ways they target victims, reports of fraud and exploitation continue to rise across the state,” said Avelar. “Young adults and seniors remain among the groups most vulnerable to scam artists, especially through phone calls and online schemes designed to steal personal information and hard-earned money. This seminar is open to everyone wants to better understand the warning signs of scams and learn how to stay informed and protect themselves and loved ones.”
