ROMEOVILLE, IL — For 14 years, Mohammed Qurashi has donated $500 annually to math and science programs in Valley View Schools on behalf of the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program, the Valley View School District shared in a news release.
A.Vito Martinez Middle School is the 2026 beneficiary of ExxonMobil’s generosity and Qurashi’s dedication to supporting his community. Qurashi is the Owner and President of the Romeoville Mobil station located at 135th St. and Illinois Route 53, the District said.
AVM will use the money to help supplement the school’s science, Technology, Engineering and Math program and activities.
AVM Principal Bill Normand accepted the donation on behalf of Martinez Middle School.
“We appreciate Mr. Qurashi’s longstanding and continuous commitment to our schools and our community," Normand said in a release. "He has a deep understanding of the importance of educating students in the sciences and math, and the path that education creates to careers in technology and engineering.”
