ROMEOVILLE, IL — At its July 15 meeting, the Romeoville Village Board discussed a concept plan for a retail redevelopment at the southeast corner of Grand Boulevard and Weber Road.

The redevelopment will include two new businesses, one of which will be a Dutch Bros Coffee.

Director of Community Development Josh Potter said the concept plan is for the redevelopment of the PNC Bank site.

"The plan involves demolishing the bank and developing the site with two new commercial buildings," Potter said.

Dutch Bros Coffee would take a 1,200-square-foot space, and the second building is a designed for a food user.

"The developer is still negotiating with prospective tenants on that [second building]," Potter said. "We should have that information by the time they come back for final development plan approval."

"I like the use of that site to fit the new buildings in there," Trustee Dave Richards said. "It's a great addition."

The redevelopment is located at the Romeo Towne Center.

Developers said they would start the process as soon as they can, but were unsure if ground would be able to be broken this year.
