ROMEOVILLE, IL — Seven tornadoes have been confirmed across the Chicago area from storms on July 27, including an EF-0 in Romeoville, the National Weather Service said.
The path of the tornado appears to be near Romeoville High School, traveling south down Route 53, hitting Lewis University, and lifting near Prairie Bluff Public Golf Club, according to survey data from the NOAA.
The six other confirmed tornadoes are in Glen Ellyn (EF-0), Wheaton (EF-0), Downers Grove (EF-0), Orland Park (EF-0), Hazel Crest (EF-1) and Lansing (EF-1).
More than 530,000 customers were affected by power outages with Monday's storms. As of Thursday, nearly 95 percent of those affected have had power restored, according to ComEd.
