ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Police Department shared that it issued 52 speeding citations after last month's speed enforcement effort.
The department said it conducted the traffic safety campaign throughout July, reminding motorists to slow down to save lives.
The effort was conducted by the Romeoville Police Department, and state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities, according to a news release.
In addition to the speeding citations, the department said it also issued: five seat belt citations, one child car seat citation, 10 aggravated speeding arrests and two traffic enforcement citations.
