β’ Underwood Secures More Than $35 Million in Federal Funding to Support Nursing Education, Health Care, Child Care, and More in Northern Illinois (house.gov) β Romeoville's Lewis University and Lewis University Airport are receiving more than $660,000 in new federal funding for science education and airport expansion, part of over $35 million secured for northern Illinois. The grants will support STEM lab teaching at Lewis, build a new aircraft hangar at the airport, and bolster health care, child care, and quantum-tech manufacturing across the broader region.
