• License Plate Reader Ban, Data Center Moratorium Proposals Move Forward In Will County (patch.com) — Will County Board Member Destinee Ortiz, in a Romeoville-datelined update, says her proposals to ban automated license plate readers on county property and pause new data centers will be discussed by the board's executive committee on Nov. 12. Neither measure is approved yet, but both could shape surveillance practices and large-scale development across Will County communities, including Romeoville.
