ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville is ready to kick off the holiday season with the return of its annual Festival of Lights, which will run Nov. 19 to Jan. 3 on the grounds of Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Road.
"Wander through a breathtaking display with thousands of lights and more than 60 illuminated 2D and 3D creations, from twinkling scenes to the awe-inspiring 32-foot walk-through Castle that will make you feel like you've stepped into a holiday storybook," the Village website shares.
The lights will be turned on at 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 for the first time this season. The Village said there will be hot cocoa and a countdown with Santa at the tree lighting event.
You can drive or walk through the light display. There will also be a letter to Santa mailbox, where you can drop a letter from Nov. 19 through Dec. 6. Santa will write you back.
The Village said the lights are on nightly from 4 to 11 p.m.
