Alden Prepares to Offer Short-Term Orthopedic Recovery and Post-Acute Services

The Alden of Shorewood campus on Black Rd. will be welcoming a new addition this Spring – Alden Estates of Shorewood Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Alden Estates of Shorewood will specialize exclusively in short-term orthopedic recovery and post-acute care. Individuals in need of physical, occupational and
speech therapies following surgery or an illness will benefit from an aggressive Optimal Rehabilitation Program that emphasizes a return to functionality. Patients can be admitted from the hospital or home with a physician’s order.

"We are taking rehabilitation to a new level,’ says newly appointed administrator Annette Borcky, RN. “We will offer not only our results-driv en Optimal Rehabilitation Program but also a five-star resort setting. Our patients will have the best of both worlds – medical services they need to return home as quickly and safely as possible in a setting that is conducive to recovery.”

In additional to Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Alden Estates of Shorewood offers a Cardiac Recovery Program, Stroke/Neurological Rehabilitation and
Pulmonary/Respiratory Care. These post-acute services require 24/7 nursing care, which will be provided by highly trained staff.
