Aquatic Center Construction On Track For Summer Finish

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Progress continues on the 20,000-square-foot Aquatic Center in Romeoville. The project includes the first indoor pool and the largest splash pad for Romeoville.
The project was first approved in 2020, and ground-breaking took place in 2021.
Village Manager Dawn Caldwell told Patch the aquatic center construction is still on track for an early summer finish.

So far, the building's shell has been constructed, and indoor HVAC and electrical is underway, according to the Village of Romeoville's development website.
Excavation of the pool has also finished, and final concrete has started. Decorative fencing is also being installed around the outdoor splash pad, and splash pad fixtures are set in place.

The Aquatic Center will also have party rooms, parking lot and administration areas.
The final asphalt layer of the parking lot will be put down in the spring, according to the development website.
