Battery, DUI, Several Home Burglaries: Romeoville Blotter
Arrests and incidents occurred between Sept. 21 and Oct. 5.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Sept. 21
Thomas Speakman, 54, of the 1400 block of Lily Cache Ln., was charged with battery.

Sept. 23
Benjamin Bailey, 40, of the 500 block of Susan St. in Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence, no insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of Schmidt Road.

Sept. 27
An attempted theft was reported in the 100 block of Southcreek Parkway. Someone attempted to gain entry by cutting a fence on the property.
Sept. 28
Shannon McKinney, 43, of the 900 block of Harvard Ct., was picked up on an in-state warrant. The arrest occurred in the 900 block of Harvard Court.
Victor Robinson, 31, of the 2100 block of Arthur Ave., was charged with speeding, no insurance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred in the area of Normantown and Townhall.
A burglary was reported in the 400 block of South Weber. Someone entered the business and took over 200 items of mostly small tools with a total value of $11,177.00.
Sept. 29
A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the area of Mather Ct. and Hillcrest Drive. Someone entered the vehicle and took $5 in change.
A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of South Zachary Drive. Someone entered the residence and took a purse. The item was later found by a neighbor.
A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Shannon Drive. Someone entered the residence and took a purse.
A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Shannon Drive. Someone entered the residence and took a flat screen television and hand tools from the residence.
A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Shannon Drive. Someone entered the residence and took three wallets.
Oct. 1
Sergio Rodriguez-Mancillas, 33, of the 400 block of Krakar Ave., was charged with battery. The arrest occurred in the 1000 block of Crossroads Parkway.
Oct. 2
Charice Rush, 30, of the 1500 block of Fairmont Ave. in Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended, no insurance, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The arrest occurred in the area of Route 53 and Material Road.
Oct. 3
A criminal damage to property was reported in the 200 block of Summerfield Drive. Someone threw a rock at a window of the residence. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $400.
Oct. 4
A burglary to motor vehicle was reported in the 400 block of North Weber Road. Someone entered the locked vehicle and took a purse.
Oct. 5
Jasim Sajjad, 19, of the 14000 block of Ardmore Ct. in Plainfield, was charged with an in-state warrant. The arrest occurred in the 1000 block of Romeo Road.
