BB Gun Shot at Moving Vehicle, Retail Theft: Romeoville Blotter

Incidents occurred between July 10 and July 19.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

July 10

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 600 block of South Weber Road. Someone broke a window on a parked auto and took a purse from inside.

July 11

A criminal damage to property was reported in the area of Budler and Weslake Parkway. A vehicle was damaged when someone shot a BB gun at the moving vehicle. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $200.

July 13

Amber Gaskin, 26, of the 100 block of Zarley Blvd. in Joliet, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of South Weber Road.

July 14

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of Santa Fe. A backpack and briefcase were taken from the unlocked parked vehicle.

July 15

Pavel Cardenas, 18, of the 1600 block of Rose Ln. in Romeoville, was charged with no valid driver’s license, expired registration and possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred in the area of Taylor and Wespark.

Phillip Smith, 49, of the 12800 block of Irving Ave. in Blue Island, was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

July 16

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of Santa Fe. Several tools with a total value of $615 were taken from the parked vehicle.

July 18

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested in the area of Weber and Renwick for aggravated assault and unlawful use of weapon.

July 19

A theft under $500 was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road. An unlocked bicycle valued at $250 that belonged to a customer was taken by someone.
