Blain's Farm and Fleet to Get Sales Tax Incentive

Romeovile trustees approved the agreement at a special Dec. 23 meeting.

Blain’s Farm and Fleet received an economic incentive from the Village of Romeoville at a special meeting Dec. 23.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the business will get a 50 percent sales tax reimbursement incentive which will not exceed $4.9 million.

Additionally, Farm and Fleet will get another 50 percent sales tax reimbursement if it is able to bring a “table service or quick casual restaurant to the site.” That incentive is not to exceed $1 million.

Mayor John Noak believes the business will be successful.

“Our site, being closest to the metro area, is going to offer an opportunity for both the company and (the village) to succeed in bringing in a much broader demographic of people into this new concept,” Noak said, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
