BEING “MERRY”?!?!

Some-days it seems like that’s just one more impossible task.

So often it seems there’s no end of things nudging us toward feeling “Blue” at Christmastime. We feel sad, lonely, anxious, lost, rushed, angry, frustrated, disappointed. All sorts of hurts can fill our hearts.

On Sunday, December 20th at 5pm, the Church of Saint Benedict in Bolingbrook is offering a service of Evensong for a Blue Christmas. In the quiet we can acknowledge our sadness, our hurts, our frustrations, our fears. In the quiet we can find break from feeling out of step with all the excitement surrounding us.

Come, light a candle. Rest in the calm. Give yourself some “gifts “ – comfort & understanding, prayer & hope. You are welcome. No matter which Church you attend or if there’s no church you call your own. You are welcome.
